Arrearages Retirement and Education Program(RETF)
The Residential Assistance Discount Arrearages Retirement and Education Program reduces eligible DC resident's arrearages for electricity bills, up to a limit of $250 each. In order to bring down their outstanding dept to a manageable level so that they can afford to pay their electricity bills. Arrearage forgiveness will be conditioned on customers' making specific co-payments and participating in the education, efficiency, and RAD programs.This program is funded through the reliable energy trust fund.
