Lead-Based Paint Management 

Lead Information Telephone Numbers

The District maintains a lead hotline where the public can access lead related information or provide tips and complaints related to lead-based paint activities. The hotline is manned during normal business hours and messages can be left after regular hours. Call (202) 535-2600 (DC Lead-Based Paint Management Program)

The National Technical Information Service has available for purchase or through the Internet at www.ntis.gov model abatement courses. 1(800) 553-NTIS (6847) (National Technical Information Services)

Call EPA’s Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1(800) 426-4791 for information about lead in drinking water.

Call the Consumer Product Safety Commission Hotline to request information on lead in consumer products, or to report an unsafe consumer product or a product-related injury on 1(800) 638-2772. (Email: info@cpsc.gov).
