DC Residential Energy Assistance Challenge Program (DC REACH)
Helping To Make Utility Bills More Affordable
What is DC REACH?
A home that is too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter can be unhealthy. That’s why the District of Columbia Residential Energy Assistance Challenge (DC REACH) provides outreach for low-income energy assistance in the District. DC REACH is lending a helping hand to senior citizens, families with young children, residents with disabilities or illnesses like asthma and diabetes, and those in need of help with utility bills. Our Energy Coordinators visit health clinics, senior buildings, private homes and other sites across the District. DC REACH is a project of the District Department of the Environment's Energy Office, in conjunction with the United Planning Organization and Energy Programs Consortium.
Emergency assistance is available to low-income DC residents who have received a disconnection notice for electric or gas service, or are currently disconnected. Call the Energy Hotline at 202-673-6750 for help, or to check the status of your application.
| DC REACH offers quick assistance for:
• Energy assistance with utility bills • Utility discount programs |
