DDOE will participate in Department of Transportation’s Earth Day Event. The theme for this year’s event is “Move Green: Inside and Out”. The day will consist of a compilation of activities and booths that include various organizations promoting ways employees can “move green”. Some booths will focus on green transportation options such as bicycles, public transit, and fuel efficient cars. Other booths will showcase green initiatives from DOT organizations and local community partners. There will be several speakers discussing pollinator health and climate change. DOT Employees will have the choice of tree saplings or pollinator-friendly seeds to take home and plant. Expected attendance is approximately 800-1000. This event is Free and only open to federal employees.
