Free Event showcases DC’s Eco-efforts

Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown is pleased to announce its fifth annual Sustainability Fair, to be held on Friday, August 2lst from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the hotel’s Colonnade Room.

            The event showcases the eco-efforts of many DC-based organizations as well as the hotel’s own green program.   Below is just a sampling of the types of participants that will be showcasing their environmental initiatives at the fair.  Guests will enjoy interacting with numerous organizations and their representatives:

 Fairmont’s Sustainability Fair is free and open to the public.  Guests will be treated to honey tastings from the hotel’s rooftop hives along with vegetable dips seasoned with herbs from the hotel’s garden, and each guest will be entered to win some great prizes.  Many of the participants bring complimentary samples for attendees such as energy saving light bulbs.  We hope you will join us.  Each participant has a six-foot skirted table to display information.  May participants bring give-a-ways for guest to take with them.
