Proposed Air Quality Permit 6363-R1 – Roubin & Janiero, Inc., Operation of an asphalt plant at 4901 Shepherd Parkway SW
PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to 40 C.F.R. Part 51.161, and D.C. Official Code §2-505, the Air Quality Division (AQD) of the District Department of the Environment (DDOE), located at 1200 First Street NE, 5th Floor, Washington, DC, intends to issue an air quality permit (#6363-R1) to Roubin & Janeiro, Inc. to modify and renew the permit to operate an asphalt plant and to allow use of up to 30% recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) instead of being limited to 20% as required by the current permit. The Roubin & Janeiro, Inc. asphalt plant is located at 4901 Shepherd Parkway SW, Washington, DC. The contact person for the applicant is Joe Roubin, Vice President, at (703) 491-9100. The applicant’s mailing address is 8550 Lee Highway, Suite 700, Fairfax, VA 22031.
The proposed emission limits are unchanged from those specified in the existing operating permit.
The permit application and supporting documentation, along with the draft permit are available for public inspection at AQD and copies may be made available between the hours of 8:15 A.M. and 4:45 P.M. Interested persons may submit written comments or may request a hearing on this subject within 30 days of publication of this notice. The written comments must also include the person’s name, telephone number, affiliation, if any, mailing address and a statement outlining the air quality issues in dispute and any facts underscoring those air quality issues. All relevant comments will be considered in issuing the final permit.
