EnergySmartDC Solar Initiative - Application Packet

Solar Advantage Plus

  1. Download the Guide to Solar Advantage Plus Program Rebates and application documents (attached below).
  2. Review Income eligibility guidelines. Eligible applicants submit project request on-line (QB link to SAPP app)
  3. Submit complete application by email edsi@dc.gov or mail to DDOE.  Your licensed installer can assist in submitting the complete program application along with terms and conditions.
  4. If funds are no longer available for the program year, any application that is submitted after funding has been exhausted will be required to reapply upon the next availability of funds.

The following application documents are required:

  • Completed and signed Solar Advantage Plus program Rebate Application
  • Signed Solar Advantage Plus program Terms and Conditions
  • A Copy of the Certificate of Clean Hands (Retrieved within 30 days of submitting the full application materials).
  • Completed District of Columbia Master Supplier Form
  • Completed and signed Form W-9 Federal Tax Identification
  • Property owner(s) or tenant(s): copies of each person’s social security card in the household and proof of income ((i.e., 1099 Social Security statement, paystub W-2, Pension Fund statement, disability income statement, tax return, or LIHEAP award Letter).  Note: property owner(s) or tenant(s) can submit this documentation directly to DDOE if preferred.

Solar Advantage

  1. Complete Installation
  2. Download the Guide to Solar Advantage Program Rebates and application documents (attached below).
  3. Submit complete application by email edsi@dc.gov or postal mail to DDOE. Your licensed installer can assist in submitting the complete program application along with terms and conditions. An automated confirmation email will be provided with a project identification number once application is submitted.
  4. If funds are no longer available for the program year, any application that is submitted after funding has been exhausted will be required to reapply upon the next availability of funds.

Only one rebate per eligible system- type may be requested for each unique installation address, per program year.

The following application documents are required:

  • Completed and signed Solar Advantage Plus program Rebate Application
  • Signed Solar Advantage Plus program Terms and Conditions
  • A Copy of the Certificate of Clean Hands (Retrieved within 30 days of submitting the full application materials).
  • Completed District of Columbia Master Supplier Form
  • Completed and signed Form W-9 Federal Tax Identification

If funds are still available, a licensed installer can assist in submitting the full program application to receive a rebate. If funds are no longer available a new application will need to be submitted when funds are available. DDOE will only consider for review and approval projects that have submitted a complete application with all required documentation.
