Water Sampling Results for District Schools
Tuesday, April 10, 2012
The Department of General Services (DGS), formerly The District of Columbia Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization (OPEFM), has contracted for the testing of all drinking water sources in the District’s public schools. DGS's contractor (the environmental consulting firm SaLUT Inc.) has been conducting these tests for lead in water since May 2009, starting with the District’s Elementary Schools. The following spreadsheet contains all test results to date, along with notes about what measures were taken when lead was found above EPA’s action level of 15 parts per billion.
